This policy explains what personal data The Perk Post (theperkpost.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors worldwide, including the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you specific rights.

What we collect

  • Survey sign-up form: first name, email address, country and age range, and the record of your consent (date, time and the page where you agreed).
  • Analytics (only with your consent): pages visited, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, collected by Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation.
  • Clicks on sponsored links: the link, the page, your device type and country. We store a one-way hash instead of your IP address.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security, for a limited period.
  • Emails you send us.

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To match you with paid survey opportunities and share your sign-up details with our survey partners: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
  • To measure and improve the site: your consent for analytics cookies.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam and fraud: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To answer your messages: our legitimate interest in replying, or steps you request before a contract.

Who receives your data

  • Survey and research partners listed under Survey partners below, only when you consent. Each partner handles your data under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers acting on our instructions: our web host (Hostinger), Google (Analytics, only with consent) and the messaging service we use for internal notifications, which receives a masked version of your email.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

We do not sell your data. Some providers are located outside the EEA; where this happens, transfers rely on European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Survey partners

When you agree in our sign-up form, we share your first name, email address, country and age range with these survey and research companies, so they can invite you to surveys:

How we detect your country

To show offers available where you live and to count clicks by country, our server looks up your approximate country from your IP address in a local copy of the IP Geolocation by DB-IP database (CC BY 4.0). Your IP address is not stored for this and is not sent to DB-IP.

How long we keep it

  • Sign-up form entries: 12 months, or until you withdraw consent.
  • Analytics data: 14 months.
  • Click records: 12 months.
  • Emails: as long as needed to handle your request.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Email bacit9x@gmail.com; we answer within one month. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site and our survey partners are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
